1. As for the production process
High efficiency and low cost
Fast installation speed: With a dedicated riveting machine or punch press, the installation of a nut can be completed within seconds, making it highly suitable for automated mass production.
No welding required: It eliminates the welding process, with no welding slag, deformation, smoke dust or subsequent cleaning work. It is environmentally friendly and saves welding equipment and labor costs.
No auxiliary materials are required: Unlike riveting nuts which need rivet core rods, and unlike welding which requires welding rods and wires, this further reduces material costs.
Process simplification
It simplifies the traditional multi-step process of "drilling holes in thin plates -> welding nuts -> cleaning" to a one-step forming process of "punching/drilling holes in thin plates -> pressing nuts in".
2. Regarding product performance and quality
High torsional resistance: This is one of the most core advantages of FRN rivet nuts. The straight patterns or mesh patterns on its head and cylinder body will be squeezed into the plate when pressed in, forming a tight mesh with the plate, which can withstand a very large torque and prevent the nut from rotating along with the bolt when it is tightened.
High holding force (pull-out resistance) : The flange design of the nut enables it to be firmly embedded in the sheet after riveting, providing excellent pull-out resistance and ensuring that the connection point will not be pulled out under force.
Smooth and beautiful: After installation, the head of the nut is basically flush with the surface of the plate, and there is only a tiny protrusion on the back, making both the inner and outer surfaces of the product very smooth and beautiful, without the need for subsequent grinding.
Reliable connection: The riveting process causes the plastic deformation part of the sheet to "wrap" the nut, forming a firm intermetal connection with good shock resistance and anti-loosening performance.
3. For design and application
Suitable for thin plates: It perfectly solves the problem that thin-walled parts (with a thickness of only 0.8mm-3.0mm) cannot process internal threads or are difficult to weld.
Single-sided operation: Installation can be completed simply by touching the workpiece from one side, which has an irreplaceable advantage in closed or semi-closed box structures.
Detachable and maintainable: Unlike welded nuts, if a rivet nut is damaged, it can be replaced after the damage, while the replacement of a welded nut is very difficult and may damage the base material.
Diverse materials and surface treatments: We can provide various materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel, and can also undergo surface treatments like galvanizing, nickel plating, and Dacromet to meet different environments (such as anti-corrosion and electrical conductivity) and appearance requirements.
